Shadow Shot

In this photo, I see a shadow of hands reaching up to grab two balloons. The sidewalk behind it really contrasts the dark shadows, which I like because it makes it stand out even more. I kept the shot in focus and took it in a certain angle in order to capture the right perspective that I wanted. At first, I started out with 4 balloons, but 2 of them flew away. I think it worked out with only 2 though, because it looks more simple to me, and the simpler the better. The only editing I did was adjusting the brightness and adding more contrast in order to make the balloons stand out even more. The message I was trying to send out was the yearning for childhood because the hands look like their desperately reaching out for the balloons; and the balloons are supposed to be a symbol of childhood. I really like how this shot turned out, it's one of my favorites that I've taken this year.
